Picture of one of the Christmas markets in Heidelberg that I visited with a friend today. We didn't have any snow, but it was still lovely and the food and the Glühwein were very nommy! :D [picture source]

Rec: So I've read quite a bit of GenKill fic for never having seen more than a couple scenes of the show, but it's all been Brad/Nate until a couple weeks ago. Then someone rec'd a bunch of Brad/Ray fic and although I was all 'I don't really know' at first, I'm really glad I gave it a try because A+++ pairing! :D

Porn star AU!

This is basically a PWP but OMG with the excellent porn :D

Media:

Danielle Brooks - Jolly Christmas Medley - speaking of shows I've never seen, 'Orange Is The New Black' is supposed to be pretty good but I haven't seen any of it. Danielle Brooks and Uzo Aduba, who are both on the show, made this fun medley with accompanying cute video though and I enjoyed it very much :D

Enjoy! :)

We have snow here today! I was just out shoveling.

Oh, that market looks lovely! So tempting! And the church (cathedral?) and the hill in the background! Beautiful.

Right? Sometimes the source material is not really your cup of tea but the fic is still awesome so... :D

Oi. We had a tiny bit of snow last Thursday or Friday but it's been pretty mild since Sat/Sun. There's some kind of unending cold front happening in the US right now though, right? :/

There is! It's finally hitting the East Coast, so we are expected to get more snow on Tuesday.

It was really quite lovely and my friend told me that there are always buses full of tourist coming in just for the Christmas market :)
Heidelberg is very pretty in general though with pretty churches (this one is the Heiliggeistkirche - there was actually a choir practicing for an Advent concert in there when we went in, it was super nice!) and old houses and the hills kinda surrounding the city <3

I so need to do a christmas markets tour one year. No clue how that's going to work out work-wise, but I will!

I instantly liked it, too :) And yeah, it's the mix of the lights and the snow, right? Thankfully there's lots of Glühwein to fight the cold ;) .
