Hello and welcome! It is already December again! Which I am always shocked by every year :D:
I'm also quite shocked that I'll be doing MFAC for the 10th time this year. Well, it actually started just as Fandom Advent Calendar in 2004 - almost all the recs were Popslash :D It was already more multi-fannish in 2005 though, which is also when I started this separate journal. It's crazy how much time has gone by and that there are still people around from that first year, but there are also always new people! <3
Anyway, I hope you're as excited as I am to have this to accompany you all the way to Christmas again :)

Let's start this year's mfac with cute dogs wearing Santa hats. And other stuff :D
A friend just linked me to Stuff On Scout's Head and I definitely suggest checking it out, I was very amused :D That dog clearly has the patience of a saint <3
Rec: Earlier this year I ended up reading a couple gay romance novels when Amazon recommended them after I had bought a novel about a gay baseball player and then a novel about two guys playing hockey in high school who fall in love. Ahem.
Gay romance novels? Pretty much the same as straight romance novels, so I was complaining about them a bit on Twitter and a friend (actually the same friend who linked me to the Tumblr above! :D) recommended Jane Davitt and I ended up reading and liking some of her stuff. She's also been in fandom forever and when you Google her, you find her fannish stuff first and then there's a link to original stories that you can buy, which I really liked. No being ashamed of your fannish origins! :) Anyway, she also has some original stuff on AO3 and I really liked the following:
Life Drawing (15530 words) by
JaneDavitt
Fandom: Original Work
Rating: Explicit // Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Additional Tags: Crossdressing, Underwear Kink, Spanking, Light Bondage, Roleplay
Summary: Written for the Love Has No Boundaries event at the Goodreads M/M Romance Group. Many thanks to Jen for organizing and my editor Barbara and beta Alexa. Notes about the prompt at the end.
Rob's a big guy with a big secret. Is a chance encounter with Jamie going to change the number of people who know that secret from one to two?
Look at those additional tags, nom nom! This is the picture that inspired the story btw :D (probably NSFW)
Media:
All Chicago Gay Hockey Assn. Wants for Christmas - okay, maybe not all of them should sing but I thought this was still very cute and fun to watch :D
Enjoy! :-)
