Pictures: Okay, today's theme kinda is gay storylines on Soaps. YOU ARE WELCOME :D

Olli and Christian from Verbotene Liebe [gif source!]
They had a pretty cool storyline - Christian started out straight but then fell for Olli, who'd been in love with him for a while already. There was of course lots of drama but they got together and they even got married and yes :D . But then they apparently drifted apart and decided to get divorced after about a year :( .
Those gifs you see here though? Very recent! Because they just got back together and Olli actually proposed again and they're going to remarry and everything is beautiful and nothing hurts.
At least, until the writers decide NEEDZ MOAR DRAMA :P .

Roman and Deniz from Alles Was Zählt [gif source!]
Not gonna lie, those two are totally my favorites, I loved them SO MUCH! <3 Again, Roman was gay and fell for apparent straight (and Turkish) boy Deniz. Drama, drama, gay bashing, drama but they finally get together and they were so cute and beautiful :') .
But this is still a soap so first Deniz cheats and they break up, then they get back together until Roman cheats and they break up, repeat this a couple more times until finally they are broken up when Roman gets diagnosed with an unoperable brain tumor (WTAF?!), which only Deniz finds out about and they hide it from everyone else (Roman doesn't want anyone to know so he doesn't get treated differently) and they get back together and have like the most lovely scenes (roadtrip!!!) and then Roman FUCKING DIES and ugh, just seeing some gifs on Tumblr made me tear up again, ngl. I cried SO MUCH when I actually watched those eps :'( .
Still, they were beautiful and I'll love them forever. <3

Reid and Luke from As The World Turnes [pic source!]
The story here is a bit different, Luke actually has a lot of backstory with his first boyfriend Noah (who's a douche imho) and he actually more or less kidnaps Reid (who's a fantastic neurosurgeon) and more or less blackmails him into operating Noah, who's blind at the time (blabla boring backstory :P). And Reid is such a snarky little asshole, OMG, I love hiiiiim. Also, he kinda can't help falling for Luke, who's pretty awesome, and he hates himself a bit but they keep flirting and there are kisses and they get together and Luke finally leaves Noah behind and everything could be well but no :/ .
Bla bla, accident, Reid actualfax DIES and I think it ends with tentative feelings between Noah and Luke again and ugh, no, just read today's rec - SO MUCH BETTER! :P

Rec: Vegas by alicesprings and rhiannonhero (As The World Turns; Luke/Reid) - LUKE AND REID GET DRUNKENLY MARRIED IN VEGAS :D This pretty much happens before the whole kidnapping plot on the show so it's quite AU (NO DEATHS YO) and I just enjoyed it so so much because woke up married will always be one of my very favorite tropes :D

Songs: But back to soaps!

The following was kind of Christian/Olli's signature song on VL for a while there in the beginning and it's so lovely: Sia - Breathe Me (gorgeous scene with BM as background music)

And then this was used a couple times for Deniz/Roman's storyline on AWZ: Revolverheld - Unzertrennlich (the official video actually has a gay storyline, too! :D)

And this one is another song by the same band that get's played on the radio a lot and always (ALWAYS!) makes me think of DeRo (although it's actually totally unrelated): Revolverheld - Halt dich an mir fest
